Monday December 5th at 6pm we will have a special Board meeting to discuss LJAA finances and to develop an action plan to increase revenues. All members are invited and encouraged to contribute to our problem solving efforts. Bring a snack.

Volunteers - Exhibit:
We have a special HONORING OUR VOLUNTEERS show for JANUARY 2-15. Members with
30 or more volunteer hours on the books for 2011 can hang one painting for $20 and two for $30 on a first come first serve basis. REGISTRATION is with the

Checks are due at the hanging party on January 2nd at 4 pm. The Board will be sponsoring a reception on Saturday January 7th 3-6pm.....The theme is JOY.

New Member Drive....Invite a Friend
FEBRUARY 12-26 CELEBRATING FRIENDS: This is an opportunity for 7 members/sponsors to each pay $75 to invite a NON LJAA member/ FRIEND, who is an artist and possible LJAA member to participate in a show. Each Pair will get to hang 9 pieces (depending on size). The board has agreed to jury these potential members during the show and to offer a "special rate" (yet to be determined) for membership. The reception is Saturday February 18th 3:30- 7:30pm
This show runs through Valentine's Day so asking a friend now will be an added bonus. Please contact me by email to reserve your place.

1. New exhibit schedule is on www.lajollaart.org the website for 2012. There are several open dates in the first quarter. NOW is the time to sign up. Due to the economy we may be raising gallery rental rates starting the second quarter. The gallery rental agreements and sign up forms are on the LJAA website. $100 non- refundable deposit is required to complete the registration. Send your registration requests to the gallery in care of exhibit coordinator.
