Village Gold (VG) was developed by the La Jolla Art Association Board of Directors to enhance the LJAA’s service program and to make it easier for members to receive recognition for their service to the Association.
For each hour of service donated to the Association, members may earn one ounce of VG. Upon completion of service, the Board Member in charge of the service area authorizes the issuance of the appropriate number of VG Ounces earned and the date they were earned. This information will be passed to the Membership Director who maintains the VG oz. records. Currently only the Board Members and the Group Show Leaders can view the VG oz. records on the LJAA online database. Members are encouraged to ask the Membership Director about their VG oz. status and any questions regarding to the VG Program.
Please note that VG is only earned for service that helps the Association as a whole. In general, work done for a member’s own Group Show, New Member Show or All Members Show does not count for VG.
