Artist Statement
Doreen DiPasquale has been an artist her entire life.
She was born to a professor of art: her father taught at home, on trips, for high schools, and Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.
Art education was a part of life. Both formal and informal instruction included tutorials in: Europe; "Torpedo Art Association", Alexandria, Virginia; and Corcoran School of Art, Washington, DC.
Dr. DiPasquale is an artist, registered nurse and current practicing orthopaedic surgeon. She and her husband, George Cierny III MD, recently relocated thier orthopaedic practice to his home town of San Diego.
This opportunity has provided the freedom to become active in the southern California art community and become an active member of several art associations.
