After a forty year career in the academic world, including thirty-one years as a psychology professor at the University of San Diego, I have turned to the world of art a means of expression. While I used traditional oil and acrylic media during the sixties and seventies, the flexibility and range of possibilities afforded by the digital medium are truly amazing and an excellent means for expressing one's creative ideas and feelings.
Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Painter and, more recently, PD Pro and Gertrudis have been the primary digital "processes" used to create my work. I have also begun to integrate photography into my artwork.
Although I have had no formal art training, I have had a lifelong passion for art, literature and music. Generating an artistic work leads me into frequently unforeseen areas with occasionally surprising results. The conflicts and complementarities of the inner and outer worlds play a significant role in the content of my art work.
