I came from Ishigaki island in Okinawa, Japan and have been working as a chef for more than 27 years in the United States.
I think portraiture is a most challenging subject in art because anyone can accurately evaluate the progress in portraiture.
We humans have been receiving a lot of benefit by understanding the universal truths, such as the law of gravity and the law of magnetism. Each time we find the fundamental laws of the universe, we make a great step in the revolution. At the same time, the pursuit of truth is a fundamental purpose not only as a human being but as a portrait painter. Well, so far, the truth that I found in my life is that...I am a lonely person. Yet, by overcoming this life condition, I will be accomplishing my own human revolution, and it will also be the great revolution through every stroke in my canvas.
"Art is nothing more than my life itself."
